The Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) invites research project proposals from Indian scholars, researchers, and academicians under its Major and Minor Research Projects Scheme for the Financial Year 2026–2027.

Applicants are advised to carefully read the Scheme Guidelines before filling out the online application form. Research proposals must be prepared strictly in the prescribed format provided in the online application form, and no separate proposal document should be uploaded.

To avoid last-minute technical issues, applicants are encouraged to submit their applications well before the closing date.

Applications will be accepted only through the online portal. Applicants are not required to send a hard copy of the application or any supporting documents to ICSSR.
