Bibliography on Demand and Literature Search Services
Bibliography is a systematic descriptive list of published (books, periodical articles etc) as well as unpublished material pertaining to a specific subject for reference and study. This service is provided to the social scientists on demand. The scholars doing their M. Phil, Ph.D. Post-Doctoral Research or writing an article or a book can make a request for this service. A scholar who is working on a project or a teacher can also avail this service. This service is provided in two formats:
- Bibliographical References without Abstracts (for Books - author, title, publisher, year of publication, pages; and for Journal Articles-author, title, name of the Journal, pages).
- Bibliographical References (as above) and abstract or description of the thought content of the document printed.
NASSDOC uses published printed sources as well as well as digital format and unpublished sources for compilation of a bibliography.
Procedure
In order to avail this service, scholars have to send the duly filled-in Bibliography Order Form to the Director, National Social Science Documentation Centre (NASSDOC), ICSSR, 35, Ferozshah Road New Delhi-110001. The topic of the bibliography should be clearly written so as to avoid any ambiguity.

Charges / Payment It is paid services and following are the charges:
- With Abstract: Minimum of Rs. 500 up to 50 Abstracts + Rs. 10 per additional abstract.
- Without Abstract: Minimum of Rs. 200 up to 40 references + Rs. 5 per additional references.
- Registered postal charges are extra
Delivery
- Delivery of Bibliography can be sent by registered post/e-mail/in person. In case of transmission by email, postal charges are not charged.
- Advance payment is required to be made by Cash / NEFT / RTGS / Demand Draft in favour of Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.
- Bank Details for Online Payment: Amount may be credited through Online NEFT/RTGS. Name of the Beneficiary: ICSSR, New Delhi, Acc. No: 8474101050825, IFSC No: CNRB0008474

Document Delivery & Inter-Library Loan (ILL)
NASSDOC provides document delivery and inter-library loan services to support the research needs of scholars in social sciences. Users can request journal articles, book chapters, and reports as per the prescribed guidelines. Articles available in NASSDOC’s subscribed or open-access e-resources are downloaded and sent to users via email. If a required document is not available in the NASSDOC library, it can be obtained through Inter-Library Loan arrangements, particularly with DELNET and other partner institutions, and then supplied to the researcher. This service ensures timely access to essential academic materials beyond the in-house collection.
