OTHER PROGRAMMES
The ICSSR provides financial assistance, on ad-hoc basis
to professional organizations of social scientists for:

Maintenance and development of their day-to-day
activities to cover expenditures in organizing lecture(s),
workshop(s), symposium(s) etc; to publish occasional monograph and
other academic activities and its related contingency expenditures
(See Annexure
-III).

Running Journals (See Annexure
IV).

Generally, an yearly grant of Rs.10,000/-
to Rs.50,000/- is given to an organization approved for such assistance.
Proposals for special grants, involving more funds, may as well be considered
by the Research Committee/Council. Applications are entertained on the
Prescribed Proforma ( see Annexure
III & Annexure
IV) together with supporting
documents.
The Vikram Sarabhai Memorial Lecture is jointly organized by the Council and the Vikram Sarabhai Foundation, every year, by an eminent Scientist/Social Scientist.
