The Council publishes a quarterly ICSSR Newsletter which gives an account of the Council’s major programmes and activities. The scope of the Newsletter is large enough to include research information from ICSSR supported 27 Research Institutes spread over the length and breadth of India and 6 Regional Centres of the ICSSR, situated in Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Shillong.

  The ICSSR Newsletter started as a half-yearly publication which was later made into a quarterly as it was thought that the social science community needs to be made aware of the Council’s activities more often.

The Newsletter has been made more presentable without compromising on the Information or the ‘News’ as is befitting of a Newsletter.

The Editorial Board consists of Dr Ranjit Sinha, Mr R.R.Prasad and Dr Rachna Jain, Editor

Starting from July - September 2002 issue the ICSSR Newsletter is also being brought out in Hindi.

Keeping with the times the Council has also put the Newsletter on the ICSSR Website.
