During the current financial year i.e.2006-07, Ministry of Human Resource Development has sanctioned Rs.2050 lakhs under Non-plan and Rs.2400 lakhs under Plan. It is pertinent to point out that special emphasis has been given for the development of Regional Centres and Research Institutes of the ICSSR. Also programme like Research Fellowships, Research Grants, North East Region Programme etc. have also been given due importance.
