The ICSSR has a fleet of one Mini Bus, three Staff Cars and three Three-wheelers. These vehicles are being used by the Chairman's Office, Member Secretary's Office, officers of the ICSSR and dispatch work. In addition to this, ICSSR has also hired the services of two RTVs to facilitate the scholars to-and fro between NASSDOC Office at 35, Ferozeshah Road and ICSSR Campus at Aruna Asaf Ali Marg near JN University as there is no public transport available at the ICSSR New Campus.

In order to look after their proper maintenance, movements of the staff vehicles, to maintain duty chart; to inspect the logbooks maintained by the drivers and welfare of staff drivers, a Transport Cell was established in the month of March 2002. The Transport Cell is functioning under, a UDC who has been designated as Transport Incharge under the over all supervision of Administrative Officer.
