India-China Cultural Exchange Programme

Call for applications

 

The ICSSR and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing have a collaboration in the field of social sciences under the framework of the India- China Cultural Exchange Programme. 

 

The ICSSR invites research proposals from scholars engaged in social science research who may require visiting China for collection of research material, consultation and interaction with experts, etc. for their specific research. The theme of the research proposal should either be related to China or a comparative study covering India and China.

 

The duration of the visit will be normally for one month only and expected to be undertaken during the year 2012

 

Interested scholars are requested to visit our web site (www.icssr.org) and submit two copies each of their bio-data (upto two pages), detailed proposal (in 2500 to 3000 words), nature of work to be done in China. Applicants should furnish the details of the contacts established with the experts and research institutes/universities in the visiting country with complete mailing address, telephone, fax, email etc.  The research proposal should be neatly typed on A ‘4’ size paper.           The Ph.D. students are not eligible for this programme.

 

Two sets of proposals duly signed and complete in all respects may be addressed to Mr. M.A. Jawaid, Deputy Director, International Collaboration Division, ICSSR, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067, so as to reach on or before 15.06.2012.   Incomplete applications will not be entertained.
